New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday addressed a virtual rally in a bid to unite people across the country in collective fight against coronavirus.

Amit Shah also condoled the loss of lives due to the virus infection.

“I want to salute the crores of corona warriors who are fighting against the virus by risking their lives. Health workers, police personnel and others, I want to acknowledge their contribution,” Shah said.

Shah recalled the various important steps taken in the last one year by the Modi government. He said that by scrapping Article 370 and 35A, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has truly united Kashmir with India.

“Triple Talaq became a social stigma and the previous governments did not address the issue due to vote-bank politics. But by giving “talaq” to triple talaq, Modi ji helped millions of Muslim women live a life of dignity,” he said.

This rally is aimed at connecting people with ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ campaign, BJP to have 75 such meetings, said Amit Shah in his online address.

Talking about the defense strategy of India, Shah said that India’s defence policy has gained global acceptance. The whole world agrees that after USA & Israel if there is any other country that is able to protect its borders, it is India.

“There was a time when anybody used to enter our borders, beheaded our soldiers and Delhi’s darbar remained unaffected. Uri and Pulwama happened during our time, it was the Modi & BJP govt who did surgical strikes & carried out airstrike,” he added.

Praising PM Modi he said, “Modi ji held talks with CMs of different states to formulate strategies for controlling the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.”

Shah also took at a dig Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that while several people are conducting interviews, PM Modi is providing strong leadership to help the country come out of the Covid crisis.
