New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended their warm birthday wishes to Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.
PM Modi said that VP Naidu is admired across the political spectrum for his warm nature and intelligence.

Amit Shah said that VP Naidu is an experienced leader who is respected across the political line for his simplicity and deep knowledge of Parliamentary affairs.

Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu also served as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national president from 2002 to 2004. He took the oath as Vice-President of India and the Chairman of Rajya Sabha on 11 August 2017.
Both as a student leader and political figure, Naidu gained prominence as a brilliant orator, who vigorously championed the cause of the farmers and the development of backward areas. His oratory skills and political activism propelled his political career and he was elected as an MLA to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly twice from Udaygiri constituency in Nellore district in 1978 and 1983. He rose to become one of the most popular leaders of the BJP in Andhra Pradesh.
