Over 78 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses still available with states & UTs: Health Ministry

New Delhi, Jun 29 (UNI):   More than 78 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available with states and Union Territories (UTs) to be administered, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said here on Tuesday.

‘More than 78 lakh (78,44,885) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the states, UTs to be administered,’ the Ministry said in a statement.

Furthermore, more than 15,18,560 vaccine doses are in the pipeline and will be received by the states and UTs within the next three days.

‘More than 31.83 crore (31,83,36,450) vaccine doses have been provided by Government of India to States, UTs so far, through Government of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category,’ the Ministry said.

Of this, the total consumption, including wastages is 31,04,91,565 doses (as per data available at 0800 hrs today).
