Union Cabinet Expansion: 43 leaders to take oath as Ministers today

New Delhi, Jul 7 (UNI):   As many as 43 leaders will take oath as the Union Ministers on  Wednesday during the much-awaited expansion of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led cabinet.

According to sources, the list of leaders to be sworn-in as Ministers are Narayan Tatu Rane, Sarbanand Sonowal, Dr Virender Kumar, Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Ramachandra P Singh, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Pashupati Kumar Paras, Kiren Rijiju, Raj Kumar Singh, Hardeep Singh Puri, Mansukh Mandaviya, Bhupendar Yadav, Parshottam Rupala, G Kishan Reddy, Anurag Thakur, Pankaj Choudhary, Anupriya Patel, Dr Satyapal Baghel, Dr Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Shobha Karandlaje, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Darshan Vikram Jardosh, Meenakshi Lekhi, Annapurna Devi, A Narayanaswamy and Kaushal Kishore.

Besides, Ajay Bhatt, B L Verma, Ajay Kumar, Chauhan Devusinh, Bhagwanth Khuba, Kapil Patil, Pratima Bhoumik, Dr S Sarkar, Dr Bhagwat Karad, Dr Rajkumar Singh, Dr Bharati Pawar, Bishweshwar Tudu, Shantanu Thakur, Dr Munjapara Mahendrabhai, John Barla, Dr L Murugan and Nitish Pramanik will also take the oath as the Union Ministers.

According to sources, so far 11 Union Ministers, including Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank have been dropped from the Cabinet.

The other Cabinet Ministers who have resigned are Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawarchand Gehlot, Labour Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chemical and Fertiliser Minister D V Sadananda Gowda.

Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre, Minister of state for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Raosaheb Danve, Minister of State of Women and Child Development Debasree Chaudhri, Minister of State for Jal Shakti Rattan Lal Kataria and Minister of State for Environment Babul Supriyo have also quit.
