New Delhi: The Supreme Court has today issued a notice to Pala MLA Mani C Kappan in money cheating case. The Kerala High Court had earlier stayed the case and the top court’s step is in response to the plea which questions the High Court verdict.
The notice has been sent in connection with the plea submitted by Dinesh Menon, a Mumbai based entrepreneur from Kerala. Dinesh Menon earlier had submitted a plea in the High Court but the proceedings were ceased. The petitioner alleges that Mani C Kappan had swindled a sum of Rs. 3.25 crores and made false promise to arrange shares of Kannur International Airport Ltd.
