New Delhi: The country reports 16,866 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. 2,39,751 tests were conducted and 41 deaths were also reported among which 13 from Kerala and 6 each from Maharashtra and West Bengal. 2 deaths were reported from both Delhi and Sikkim. 1 case each from Assam, Bihar, Chathisghad, Manippur, Nagaland, Odisha, Thripura and Uttar Pradesh.
As per the report of the Central Ministry of Health, 202 crore doses of vaccine have been given so far in the country. 16,82,390 doses of vaccines were given in the last 24 hours.
The government is trying to speed up the national vaccine drive that started on January 16, 2021. As part of the promotion, the vaccine is being made available free of cost to the States and Union Territories.
