New Delhi: The Central Government has informed the parliament that there are 58 economic offenders who have scooted from the country. The Government is trying to get back all the looters. Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi, Nitin and Chetan Sandesara, Lalit Modi,Guido Ralph Haschke and Carlo Gerosa are among 58 cheaters and they are being pursued through look out circulars,Interpol notices and extradition cases.
Christian Michel,the middleman of AugustaWestland helicopter deal, is also being pursued by the Government and attempts to get him back to India is underway.
Agencies including CBI and Enforcement has already approached various courts of other countries to get back 18 absconders out of these 58 offenders. Indian Agencies have filed cases in courts of UAE,UK,Belgium and Egypt.
