Mumbai: Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said that he expects Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to receive a favourable verdict in today’s SC ruling.
He added that since the case is built up strong for them they will receive a verdict in their gain, Shinde will continue to be the Chief Minister and under his leadership they will contest in the next election.
With respect to the rift between Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde, Supreme Court is hearing the plea of the splitting up of Shiv Sena along with the case of deeming 16 MLA’s as ineligible. Today’s verdict will decide the future of the Shinde led Maharashtra Governement.
Earlier the election commission gave out the verdict that it was the Shinde faction that has the official rights in the party. This led Shinde faction to receive the party offices, name and symbol.
