Amit Shah slams Congress and DMK for their corruption; dubs them as ‘3G’ and ‘4G’ parties

Chennai: Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly criticised the DMK and Congress and dubbed them ‘3G’ and ‘4G’ parties due to their alleged corruption and dynasty politics during a public meeting in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. Amit Shah said that the parties that were once drowning the country in corruption are now in opposition. He also added that if the DMK was the centre of corruption in Tamil Nadu, then at the national level it was the Congress.

“Congress and DMK are 3G and 4G parties. The Maran family (DMK) is doing corruption for two generations. The Karunanidhi family is doing corruption for three generations. The Gandhi family is 4G. Rahul Gandhi is fourth generation, and for four generations they are enjoying power,” Shah said.

Shah also pointed out that both the Congress and DMK opposed the abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. “Both these parties—Congress and DMK—were against its abrogation. With one stroke of the pen on August 5, 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended Article 370 and united Kashmir with India,” Shah added.

Amit Shah also announced that the BJP plans to contest 25 seats in the state during the 2024 elections. He expressed the party’s ambition to eventually see a Tamil Nadu native assume the role of India’s Prime Minister, asserting that the BJP is actively working towards that goal.
