New Delhi: Today, the Congress party released its election manifesto with a lot of unsustainable welfare schemes and dangerous promises that will lead to increase in terror activities and even end up in the breaking up of India.
If most of the welfare schemes can be dubbed as mere ‘pre poll gimmicks’, some are serious and relate to the security of India.
Already, the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has hit out at Congress and warned that the manifesto contains ideas for the ‘Balkanisation’ of India.
The main contention in the manifesto is the party’s stand to amend the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA). They go on to say that the party will “remove immunity of enforced disappearances, sexual violence and torture” implying that the Indian army indulges in crimes against the people of India.
AFSPA has been effectively used in maintaining peace and curbing the terrorists in many states of the country. Without such a stringent Act, separatists would have been successful in their aim to break India.
Moreover, the party seeks to engage in talks with all the ‘stakeholders’ and divert military from the valley to the border. These soft approaches by Congress is enough to undo whatever progress the BJP government has done in Kashmir.
Interestingly, there is not a single word that mentions the party’s stand on the Kashmiri Pandits. They are not interested in bringing back the Pandits who were driven out of the state by Islam terrorists. They suffered genocide, rape and plunder, yet the Congress has turned a blind eye to all those Pandits who are dispersed without a place to call as their home.
Coming to welfare schemes, especially Nyay, the manifesto is a clear indication Congress will harm the economy if it comes to power. The Congress is trying to dupe the voters with high promises without any clear roadmap of how to implement these impossible schemes.
The party cannot implement the schemes without increasing the taxes of middle class voters and also by increasing the fiscal deficit of the country. Harming the Indian economy is also an anti India activity, especially when it is done deliberately.
An anti-national manifesto from the Congress party is no surprise, especially, when Maoist supporter Sandeep Singh is now part of the team advising Rahul Gandhi.
