Mumbai: In a tragic incident that unfolded last night in Kalyan East, Mumbai, a heart-wrenching crime saw a 20-year-old man fatally stabbing a 12-year-old girl. The young girl lost her life due to the rejection of a love proposal by the assailant. The perpetrator, identified as Aditya Kamble (20), has been apprehended by the police in connection with the incident.
According to law enforcement officials, the motive behind this brutal act was rooted in the resentment stemming from the girl’s refusal of the young man’s romantic advances. Official reports indicate that the accused had been lingering near the girl’s residence at Durga Darshan Society in Tisgaon for a span of approximately three to four hours. Undeterred by her rejection, the young man persisted in his presence in front of her house for several hours, leading up to the tragic event.
The fatal encounter occurred as the young girl returned home with her mother after attending her tuition classes around 8 pm. As they ascended the staircase to their residence, the assailant suddenly emerged from behind, forcefully pushing the mother aside. In a shocking display of violence, he proceeded to stab the girl seven to eight times, inflicting grievous injuries. The severity of the attack caused the girl to tumble down the staircase, her chest wounds proving fatal. Despite her mother’s valiant efforts to intervene, she was unable to prevent the horrifying incident from unfolding.
The distressing cries of the mother alerted nearby residents, who swiftly came to their aid. The injured child was rushed to a medical facility, but tragically, her injuries proved insurmountable, leading to her untimely demise during the course of treatment. The swift response of the police resulted in the apprehension of the assailant as he attempted to evade capture. A knife believed to be the weapon used in the stabbing was recovered by the authorities.
