Muzaffarnagar:  Following the widely circulated video depicting the assault of a student within a school in Muzaffarnagar, the Yogi government has swiftly responded by initiating action against the institution. The district administration has embarked on the process of revoking the school’s recognition, with the Education Department issuing a formal notice in connection with the incident.

The Education Department has commenced an inquiry into various aspects of the school’s quality standards, seeking clarification on pertinent matters. In light of the ongoing investigation, the school has been instructed to temporarily cease operations. This move is intended to ensure a comprehensive and impartial evaluation of the situation.

The Block Education Officer affirmed that the school will remain closed during the course of the inquiry, further stating that arrangements will be made to enroll the affected students in alternative educational institutions.

The incident initially came to public attention through a video showcasing a child being subjected to physical abuse within the school premises. Responding to the gravity of the situation, the local police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the teacher involved in the incident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has emphasised the imperative of taking stringent actions against the wrongdoers, irrespective of their affiliations.

As the incident garnered heightened attention and sparked discussions, it was revealed that the teacher, identified as Tripta Tyagi , came forward to clarify that her intentions were not to incite or offend anyone’s religious or social sentiments.
