Nuh: Despite opposition from Islamists leading to its initial cancellation, the VHP has resolved to reschedule the Shobha yatra, with heightened security measures in place for its procession today. The city has fortified its security arrangements to ensure safe proceedings. Concurrently, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has issued a challenge to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Tikait’s stance asserts that if the Shobhayatra proceeds as planned, a tractor rally will also be orchestrated.
This declaration was made by Rakesh Tikait during a gathering organized by the Maha Panchayat of farmers in Rajasthan’s Mewat region. Tikait articulated that if any event takes place in Nuh, the panchayat will convene and oversee a tractor procession there.
With tractors and participants at the ready, Tikait stated, “If the Hindu organisations permit their yatra to occur on the 28th, we will concurrently embark on a tractor march. We will set the date and determine the location.” On the administrative front, IG Rajender Kumar of the South Rewari Range emphasised that no official authorization has been granted for any such gatherings. To maintain law and order, robust security forces have been deployed.
