New Delhi: A notice has been issued by a Delhi court to the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over allegations of possessing two Voter ID cards. The summons was issued by the Tis Hazari court, citing that she currently holds two Voter ID cards, with one registered in the Ghaziabad constituency and the other in the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency.
This legal action follows a complaint filed by BJP leader Harish Khurana, who asserted that Sunitha possesses two Voter ID cards. In 2019, Khurana initiated this complaint, further alleging that Sunita, Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, has a history of such offences.
The court has summoned Sunita to appear on November 18th and indicated that there exists a prima facie case against her under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
