New Delhi: The Centre is launching various health programmes on the occasion of ‘Seva Pakhwada,’ commencing on September 17th. This programme is scheduled to take place from September 17 to October 2, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The programme is being organised under the ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

On September 13, President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate the programme virtually. Additionally, campaigns such as Swachhata Abhiyan, organ donation, and blood donation will also be conducted as part of the health programme. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has announced that the Union Health Ministry will implement several welfare initiatives, including ‘Ayushman Mela’ and ‘Ayushman Sabha,’ to encourage public participation during the 15-day campaign.

Ayushman Bhava aims to uplift the economically disadvantaged, and the Ayushman Bharat scheme guarantees free treatment to the people. Mandaviya stated that the campaign’s objective is to raise public awareness about health, and efforts will be made to reach every beneficiary with Ayushman Bharat cards through digital platforms.
