NEW DELHI: Veteran actor Waheeda Rehman has been selected as the recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award for this year, as announced by Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur.
Bollywood actor Waheeda Rehman, renowned for her roles in films such as “Guide,” “Pyaasa,” “Kaagaz Ke Phool,” and “Chaudhvin Ka Chaand,” has been chosen to receive this prestigious award.
On September 26, In a post on X (formerly known as twitter), I&B Minister Anurag Thakur expressed his delight and honor, stating, “I am immensely pleased and honored to announce that Waheeda Rehman ji will be receiving the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award this year in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema.”
