New Delhi: Narendra Modi has come out again with a shocking revelation against former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Modi claimed that Rajiv Gandhi used Indian warship as his ‘personal taxi’ for a 10 day vacation to Lakshadweep in 1987.
Rajiv Gandhi had compromised the national security by using the navy personnel in service of the Gandhi family at the island.
Speaking at a rally in Ramlila Maidan, he said, “Even Navy personnel were put on service of Rajiv Gandhi and his family while they were vacationing at an island. INS Virat was also stationed at the island for 10 days during that time. At the time when INS Virat was positioned for protection of maritime boundaries, it was sent to take Rajiv Gandhi and his family to an island for their holiday. Even his in-laws were on board INS Virat. Is it not a compromise of national security?”
While revealing the shocking actions done by the Gandhi family when they were in absolute power, Modi asked the crowd, “Has anyone heard that anyone goes on a holiday in a warship? Don’t get astonished but this has happened. The biggest dynast family of Congress used INS Virat as their personal taxi.”
Interestingly, the scathing remarks of Narendra Modi comes after a hue and cry was raised by the opposition to Modi’s earlier comment that Rajiv Gandhi was ‘corrupt number one’ in an election rally. He was referring to the former Prime Minister’s involvement in Bofor’s case.
Congress, which was continuing its barb against Narendra Modi, by repeatedly saying ‘Chowkidar Chor hi’, has suddenly found itself on the back foot. Modi’s attack on the former Prime Minister, just when opposition cried foul for his earlier comments, is a sign that he will be continue to expose the corruption and anti-national activities of the Gandhi family.
Rahul Gandhi in a bid to protect his father’s image quickly came in support for the former Prime Minister by saying that his father is a martyr and that Rahul Gandhi will only return love for Modi’s accusations.
However, a group of anti-Sikh riot victims yesterday wrote to Rahul Gandhi that calling Rajiv Gandhi as a martyr is an insult to the real martyrs. They said that they cannot forgive Rajiv Gandhi for the Sikh genocide in 1984 and how the Congress protected their leaders who masterminded the killings.
Narendra Modi today also reminded the people of the vulgar abuses the Congress President and its leaders have heaped on him for years. Modi listed the names that the Congress leaders used to abuse him continuously and told that these were the words used for him from the Congress’ ‘dictionary of love’.
