NEW DELHI: V Muraleedharan, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs, has stated that Indian citizens in Israel can seek assistance from the Indian embassy. The Minister has appealed to Indians in Israel to stay in safe shelters and adhere to the advisory issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

Muraleedharan emphasised that only the people in Israel are aware of their specific issues, and Indian Embassy personnel are ready to assist them.

The advisory has been issued in English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. It advises Indian citizens to exercise extreme caution while in Israel, stating, “All Indian citizens in Israel are advised to remain vigilant and observe safety protocols as advised by local authorities. Please exercise caution, avoid unnecessary movement, and stay close to safety shelters.”

For those requiring assistance in emergency situations, the Indian Embassy has provided a helpline number, +97235226748, and an email address, [email protected], for contact.

Similarly, in Palestine, the Indian embassy has issued an advisory for Indian nationals. The Representative Office of India in Palestine posted a public notice on Twitter (formerly called Twitter) on Saturday night. The notice reads, “In light of the prevailing security situation, Indian nationals in Palestine can directly contact the Representative Office of India to address any emergency cases or seek needed assistance on the 24-hour Emergency Helpline.”
