Uttar Pradesh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given out a challenge to the opposition party to prove if he is corrupt rather than abusing him continuously. He said he was in office for the past two decades now – as Gujarat Chief Minister and then as Prime Minister. He challenged the opposition to prove his involvement in any corruption scam during his time in office.

Narendra Modi gave out the open challenge in a election rally in Uttar Pradesh. While speaking to thousands of his followers he said, “I am giving an open challenge to the ‘mahamilavati’, if they have the guts then rather than abusing me they should accept my challenge. I challenge them to show whether I have any undeclared assets, farmhou8ses, or shopping complex, or whether my money is stacked in foreign banks. Prove that  i have any property in any foreign land, bungalows worth cores, high-end cars worth laksh and crores of rupees. ”

The Prime Minister said that he had never dreamt of becoming rich and that he had never looted poor’s money. He added that the welfare of the poor and protecting the motherland was more important to him than his own life.

He said that the abuses of the opposition is like a gift for him and that the people will give a befitting reply to the opposition by voting for the BJP.

Narendra Modi also said that opposition is asking about his caste and remarked that he has been in office as the Chief Minister for more time that Akhilesh Yadav or Mayawati. Yet he had never used his caste to garner support.

He added that he was born in an extremely backward community and worked hard for taking the nation forward. He said that caste neither crossed his mind nor his consciousness and never used it for support. He even told that there was no caste based discrimination in deciding the beneficiaries of his government’s public welfare schemes.

Taking a dig at SP and BSP he told, “Last night when I reached Delhi, on television I watched SP and BSP workers quarreling. They were breaking each other’s head, abusing each other and tearing other’s clothes. The country is watching them, the last phase of election is still left and they have started settling scores with each other. ”

Uttar Pradesh goes to its last phase of polling on 19 May. Results will be announced on 23 May.
