New Delhi: Narendra Modi is undoubtedly one of the tallest leaders in the world right now. In the last five years his stature as a powerful and diplomatic leader has risen. His relentless travels across the world forging ties and friendships boosted the image of India across the globe.

His travels were not mere photo ops as the media and opposition in India claims. It positioned India as shrewd strategic player in international politics. India was able to juggle Saudi Arabia and Iran in the same vein. The United States and Russia kept close ties with us and so did Israel and Palestine. This acumen cannot be matched with any predecessors that India had.

Though, Nehru formed the Non Aligned Movement to stay clear of the influence of the USA and the USSR, India ended up being under the influence of the Soviets. This ultimately distanced us from the democratic and capitalist west which chose to support our enemy nation Pakistan as a bulwark against the Soviets.

However, Narendra Modi was able to skillfully tackle the turbulent waters of International politics and was able to form one on one relations with all the powerful and major countries of the world.

The major players on the international scene has come to view Narendra Modi on an equal footing. That is why leaders are vying with each other to congratulate Narendra Modi for winning such a spectacular victory.

First Sri Lankan Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, congratulated Narendra Modi when the BJP wave broke out across the country.

Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, had a telephonic conversation with Modi to wish him success at his victory.

The Israeli Prime Minister tweeted, “The election results are another confirmation of your leadership and the way you lead the world’s greatest democracy. Together we will continue to strengthen the great friendship between us and India and Israel and lead it to new heights.”

Russian President, Vladmir Putin, also called up Narendra Modi to congratulate him for his astounding victory.

Narendra Modi has led the party to its biggest electoral victory in the Lok Sabha. The party alone has crossed the magic number of 272 which is required for a majority in the house. Together with its allies in the NDA, the coming government is more stronger and more committed to the well being of the people.
