BJP leader says that telling ‘desh ke tukde tukde’ will not win confidence of people

Gorakhpur: The BJP leader, Ravi Kishan, who won from  Gorakhpur constituency took a dig at the communist leader, Kanhaiya Kumar, who lost from Begusarai with a huge margin.

Ravi Kishan said that saying ‘desh ke tukde tukde’ would not win confidence of the people in a reference to Kanhaiya’s sloganeering in JNU campus, which shot the communist leader into fame.

Ravi Kishan said, “When you say ‘desh ke tukde tukde’ you will never win the confidence of the people. By being anti-national and speaking against the nation, by abusing the established government you will never be able to win.”

Kishan had joined the BJP two years ago from Samajwadi Party and won Gorakhpur seat which was represented by Chief Minister Yogi Adhityanath for five terms since 1998. He won by a huge margin of 3,01,664 votes.

Kanhaiya Kumar was arrested for raising anti-India slogans during a meeting to commemorate the hanging of Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru. Kanhaiya and his supporters had raised slogans against India and called for azadi or freedom from the Indian state.

The issue snowballed into a big controversy when Rahul Gandhi rushed to JNU to support the anti-national elements.

Left intellectuals and liberals were quick to hoist Kanhaiya Kumar into stardom for his pro-Pakistan stance. Some media exaggerated his influence and even compared him to Che Guevara.

The CPI soon made him their poster boy and he was paraded in every corner where the communist parties had little support.

His candidature against the BJP warhorse Giriraj Singh was all over the media and he was projected as the underdog who is destined to become the messiah for Inda.

However, all the ground reality did not reflect the media hype that was created. Common Indian masses distrusted a person who raised slogans against India and supported a terrorist who had waged war against the country.

Kanhaiya Kumar had failed to gauge the patriotism of the ordinary common people of India whom, he claims, he is fighting for.

The communist leader lost by a whopping 4 lakh votes to the BJP, which shows how much his ideology of dividing the country is hated by the common people.
