New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has continued his tradition of celebrating Diwali with the nation’s soldiers, continuing the practice by visiting Lepcha in Himachal Pradesh. He arrived on Sunday morning to join the security forces stationed in the region, specifically the troops of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police and the Indian Army near the China border.
Expressing his commitment to honouring the armed forces, Prime Minister Modi shared, “Reached Lepcha in Himachal Pradesh to celebrate Diwali with our brave security forces,” in a post on social media platform X. This practice of celebrating Diwali with soldiers has been consistent since PM Modi took office in 2014.
Notably, last year, the Prime Minister marked Diwali with soldiers in Kargil, where he also paid tribute to the sacrifices made by army personnel during the 1999 Kargil war.
