Bengaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids at multiple locations in Bengaluru in connection with a terror conspiracy case. The searches, conducted at six different places, aimed to seize crucial documents related to the alleged religious conversion case. Recently, a businessman in the city was arrested on suspicion of having links with the Islamic State, prompting the raid by the NIA.
Thadiyantavita Nazeer, an accused in the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts case and affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, had reportedly converted fellow inmates during his imprisonment in Bengaluru to carry out terrorist attacks. The NIA’s raid is part of the investigation into these conversion cases.
