Home Minister Amit Shah, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur, and BJP President JP Nadda attended the meeting.

Following this, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) constituted an inquiry committee headed by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director-General, Anish Dayal Singh to investigate.

Reports indicate that the Police have arrested five persons so far in connection with the incident. It is reported that the search has intensified for the mastermind behind the incident, who is a native of Haryana.

All the arrested persons are being interrogated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The Lok Sabha Speaker directed the Home Ministry to reorganize the security arrangements in Parliament.
