New Delhi: A golden opportunity to learn about the traditional knowledge and culture of Bharat easily. The Central Government reveals plans to establish ‘IKS Wiki,’ an online repository aiming to familiarise and access traditional knowledge and Bharatiya culture. This initiative also offers an internship programme for students to delve into Bharatiya philosophy.

Ganti Murthy, the national coordinator of the Indian Knowledge Systems division under the Ministry of Education, disclosed the plans for ‘IKS Wiki,’ envisioned as an authentic digital library aimed at educating the younger generation about traditional systems and the culture of Bharat. Murthy highlighted the intent to present information in simple language that is understandable to the common people. Information will be made available in English and various local languages.

This initiative welcomes contributions in diverse forms of artwork, encompassing images, sketches, graphics, and cartoons. A reward of Rs. 1,000 will be awarded for the best work. Students can join the internship programme at any time.

Criteria for submission revolve around systematic knowledge originating from Bharatiyas within the Indian subcontinent, transmitted through oral traditions, manuscripts, texts, and traditional methodologies. The last date to apply for the internship programme is December 25. The selected candidates will be announced on January 5.
