New Delhi: In a bid to alleviate travel disruptions caused by dense fog during the winter season, Air India has launched its ‘FogCare’ program, allowing passengers traveling to and from Delhi IGI airport to reschedule or cancel their bookings without incurring any extra charges. Today, Delhi Airport witnessed over 100 flight delays due to thick fog, and further disruptions are anticipated throughout the winter season. The country’s largest airline is closely monitoring the situation.
This initiative, an extension of last winter’s successful FogCare program, reflects Air India’s dedication to ensuring passenger convenience in challenging weather conditions. To assist affected travelers, the airline is offering proactive support and straightforward options for rescheduling or canceling tickets, all without additional costs.
Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India, highlighted the sincerity behind the FogCare initiative, stating, “It is a sincere effort to minimize inconvenience to guests whose flights are likely to get affected by fog. It will also help maintain network schedule integrity.”
Passengers on these affected flights will receive regular updates through flight-specific advisories, ensuring they stay well-informed about potential delays. The airline’s proactive approach aims to enhance the overall travel experience by providing passengers with easy alternatives in advance to address challenges associated with winter fog.
