NEW DELHI: Air India has temporarily suspended its flight services to Tel Aviv, Israel, in response to the ongoing security issues arising from the Israel-Hamas conflict. The airline has confirmed that these flight suspensions will remain in effect until November 2.
With the outbreak of hostilities, flights between Delhi and Israel, both inbound and outbound, have been put on hold. This decision comes following a Hamas terrorist attack on Israel that occurred on October 7.
Prior to the suspension, Air India was operating five flights a week to Tel Aviv. The airline cited the safety of passengers and employees as the primary reason for canceling these services on October 7. Air India has also assured passengers who had made advance bookings that they will receive the necessary assistance.
In a related development, Israel has recently initiated a ground war against Hamas.
