NEW DELHI: Sri Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthanam Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri, has confirmed that the circulating news regarding their non-participation in the upcoming ‘Prana Pratishtha’ (Consecration) ceremonies for the Ayodhya Ram Temple, scheduled for January 22, 2024, is entirely fake.

Sringeri Math issued a statement explicitly stating that Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Bharati Tirtha did not express any displeasure regarding the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya.

In the statement released through the Math’s official social media X , Swamiji clarified his stance against false propaganda. The Math urged all devotees not to believe the misinformation spread by opponents of Sanatana Dharma and to rely solely on information released through the Math’s official platforms.

This crucial information has been communicated in three languages: Hindi, English, and Kannada. The letter is signed by the CEO and Administrator of Sringeri Math.

In the statement, the Sringeri Math expressed joy for all devotees that, after a struggle of about five centuries, the Prana Pratishtha  (Consecration) is set to take place in the temple constructed for Lord Sri Rama in the sacred Ayodhya on January 22, 2024).

It has been noted that ill-wishers of Dharma have used the name of “www.dainikjagran.com” on social media to spread a post containing a photo of Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peethadheeshwara, His Holiness Paramapujya Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, falsely conveying that the Sringeri Shankaracharya expressed displeasure over the Prana Pratishtha. However, the Sringeri Shankaracharya has not issued any such message, and this is merely false propaganda by ill-wishers of Dharma.

Devotees are requested to disregard such false propaganda and rely only on information published by the official website (www.sringeri.net) and official social media platforms of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham.

This clarifies that some ill-wishers of Sanathana Dharma have propagated false information suggesting that Sri Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthanam Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri, disagrees with the Ayodhya Prana Pratishtha (Consecration) ceremony.
