Chennai: Durga Stalin, wife of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, has received an invitation to the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ (Consecration) ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. She received the sacred ‘Akshatham’ and a statue of Lord Rama worshipped at the Ayodhya Ram Temple.
RSS state leaders Rajashekahar, Prakash, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) National Joint Secretary PM Nagarajan visited her residence in Chennai and handed over the ‘Akshatham’ to extend the invitation for the consecration ceremonies. Durga Stalin assured them that she would visit the Ayodhya Ram Temple.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has already sent the invitation to Chief Minister Stalin.
Ahead of the Prana Pratishtha ceremony, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) from January 1 began the nationwide ‘Akshatam’ (sacred rice) distribution campaign from Ayodhya. As part of the ‘Akshatam Distribution Campaign’, the scared Akshatam worshipped at the Ayodhya Ram Temple is being distributed to as many household in the country as possible.
The Prana Pratishtha ceremony during which representatives from all over the world are going to reach Ayodhya, is slated to take place from 12:29:08 p.m. to 12:30:32 p.m. on January 22, 2024 in Ayodhya temple . Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other notable dignitaries, will participate in the consecration proceedings.
On August 10, 2023, Durga Stalin visited the Guruvayur Temple and presented a golden crown worth around Rs 14 lakh as an offering to the deity.
Durga Stalin’s son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the TN state Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports, recently faced several criticisms from INDI Alliance and BJP leaders for making a provocative speech on Sanatana Dharma.
