Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received a grand reception in Gorakhpur on Saturday, marked by celebrations after the successful ‘Prana Prathishta’ ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

As the long-standing promise of constructing the Ram Temple in Ayodhya was fulfilled, the people of Gorakhpur expressed their joy with fervor. Youths, women, elders, and children joyously danced and waved saffron flags adorned with the image of Shri Ram, extending a warm greeting to the CM.’ The air resonated with chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Thanks Yogiji,’ accompanied by the rhythmic beats of drums. Flower showers adorned the Chief Minister’s journey from the airport to the temple, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere.

This visit marked Adityanath’s first return to Gorakhpur since the momentous ‘Prana Prathishta’ ceremony of Ram Lalla in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, as stated in a press release.

During his parliamentary tenure, Yogi raised the issue of the Ram Temple even in the house and after becoming the Chief Minister, following the Supreme Court’s verdict, he worked wholeheartedly to fulfil the devotees’ dream to build the temple on the site, the release said.

Throngs of people lined the streets to greet the Chief Minister, and folk artists performed at various locations to extend their congratulations. NCC and Scout cadets also joined in expressing their greetings at many places.

Upon reaching the Gorakhnath temple, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage to Guru Gorakhnath in the sanctum sanctorum. He then proceeded to the Samadhi site of ‘Brahmalin’ Peethadhishwar Mahant Avedyanath, where he paid homage to his revered guru.
