New Delhi: The capital city of Bharat is currently grappling with severe disruptions in flights and train service as dense fog blankets the national capital. More than 50 flights and 23 trains destined for Delhi are facing delays, with some flights redirected to Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai airport. Airport officials attribute the delays to poor visibility caused by the dense fog.
The adverse weather conditions, due to dense fog since 1:30 am, have significantly impacted road, rail, and air traffic in the Delhi-NCR regions. The low visibility has prompted concerns among airport authorities, who earlier cautioned about potential disruptions to the landing and take-off of flights.
The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating that Delhi is expected to endure extreme cold conditions until February. The dense fog has not only affected air travel but has also led to a standstill in public transport facilities, including buses.
