Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expresses gratitude to PM Modi for Bharat Ratna conferred to Advani

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday for conferring the Bharat Ratna upon former Union Minister LK Advani. Rajnath Singh highlighted the significant contributions of the Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart, emphasizing that Advani has fortified the country and democracy through his parliamentary and administrative abilities.

In a post on social media platform X, the Defence Minister underscored Advani’s crucial role in maintaining the unity and integrity of Bharat. He stated, “The decision to award Bharat Ratna to the revered Lal Krishna Advani ji, an inspiration to all of us and a senior leader of the country, has brought great joy and happiness. He is a symbol of purity, dedication and determination in politics.”

Rajnath Singh went on to praise Advani’s remarkable contributions to the country’s development and nation-building during his extensive public life. He acknowledged Advani’s instrumental role in preserving the unity and integrity of Bharat. As a national leader, Advani, according to Rajnath Singh, has strengthened the country and democracy through his scholarly, parliamentary, and administrative abilities.

Expressing joy on behalf of every Indian for the honour bestowed upon Advani with the Bharat Ratna, Rajnath Singh concluded his post with gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the decision and extended congratulations to Advani.
