Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dedicated development projects worth Rs 68,000 crore in Odisha to the nation. The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 18 development projects during his two-day visit. Various projects were inaugurated at a public program held in Sambalpur.
The Prime Minister inaugurated the Dhamra-Angul pipeline sections of the 412-km-long Jagdishpur-Haldia and Bokaro-Dhamra project, constructed at a cost of Rs 2,450 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga project. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for the 692 km Nagpur-Jharsuguda natural gas pipeline section of the Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda pipeline.
The natural gas pipeline project, being developed at a cost of over Rs 2,660 crore, will enhance natural gas availability in states such as Odisha, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister also dedicated the Talabira Thermal Power Project, worth over Rs 27,000 crore, to the nation.
