Raipur: Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, congratulated the security forces for eliminating 29 Maoist terrorists in a joint operation at Kanker district in Chhattisgarh. Amit Shah promised that Maoists will be uprooted from the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Amit Shah said that after BJP came to power in Chhattisgarh, the party has been campaigning strongly against Maoists. He said that central government started setting up camps of joint forces since 2014 and after 2019, 250 camps were set up.
The Union Minister also added that more help is being received now from the Chhattisgarh Police than before. He also reminded that after three months of gaining power in the state ,80 Maoists were killed, 125 were arrested and 150 surrendered.
Amit Shah continued that the war against Maoists will continue and that under PM Modi, the country will be free of the red terror.
Meanwhile, Congress has come out against the state government for conducting victorious encounters against Maoists. The Congress accuse the government of conducting fake encounter.
The encounter against Naxals occurred at 2pm yesterday and took about four hours to wind up. Twenty-nine Maoists were gunned down by security officers, which include 15 women.
