Raipur: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was martyred in a terrorist attack carried out by communist terrorists in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Girish Babu, a native of Uttar Pradesh, succumbed to injuries sustained in a bomb blast while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi.
The incident unfolded on February 2 when communist terrorists executed an attack in Dantewada district. Acting on information about the presence of terrorists, a CRPF team initiated a search operation in the area. Upon encountering the security forces, the terrorists initiated gunfire.
“Girish Babu had recently shifted from Jammu and Kashmir to Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada. He sustained injuries in the explosion and succumbed on February 2,” Etawah SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma told. Officials have intensified the investigation in the region following the attack.
