New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids today at the houses of multiple Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders in connection with money laundering cases.
Sources reported that the ED raided the residences of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s Personal Secretary Bibhav Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP ND Gupta, and former Delhi Jal (Water) Board member Shalabh Kumar.
Meanwhile, the ED approached the court against Arvind Kejriwal, who did not appear for questioning in the liquor excise policy corruption case. This is the fifth time in a row that he has not been ready to appear for questioning.
The ED has asked Arvind Kejriwal to appear for questioning to provide information on money laundering related to the liquor policy scam case. But, Arvind Kejriwal has rejected the ED’s notice to appear for questioning five times.
Arvind Kejriwal was not in accused list in the first FIR registered by the CBI on August 17, 2023, in the liquor case.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in February 2023 after irregularities were found in the formulation and implementation of the excise policy.
