New Delhi: The torture and subsequent death of Sidharth, a veterinary student at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in Wayanad, is attracting strong protests and condemnation across the country. Yesterday, the Delhi University unit of ABVP conducted a protest demanding the arrest of all the accused behind the death of Sidharth. The victim was tortured by SFI leaders in the veterinary university campus in Wayanad before he was found hanging in the toilet.
The protest was inaugurated by Delhi University Union Secretary, Aparajitha. The union leader said that the ABVP has called for a strong and uncompromising protest till the family of Sidharth gets justice.
Aparajitha said that the SFI’s attacks against students in educational institutions will not be tolerated. There is a conspiracy to destroy the future generation of the country through these attacks. The students of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana are subjected to mental and physical abuse to tow the line of leftist ideology.
ABVP Unit Secretary, Soumya Varma, presided over the protest meeting. ABVP leaders Navaneeth, Siddharth, Parashar, and Abhiram led the protest.
