Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a significant spiritual pause during his journey to Srinagar on Thursday as he made a detour to catch a glimpse of Shankaracharya Hill from a distance. Sharing the moment on social media platform X, PM Modi posted photographs of himself looking at Shankaracharya Hill.
The Prime Minister’s visit carries special significance as it marks his first rally in Kashmir since 2019, anticipated to be the largest political gathering in the region since the revocation of Article 370 five years ago. The rally is scheduled to be held at Bakshi Stadium.
During his visit, PM Modi launched development projects across various sectors, including railways, education, aviation, and transport in Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, he allocated Rs 5,000 crore towards schemes aimed at boosting the agriculture sector in Jammu. PM Modi emphasised the region’s progress, stating that Jammu and Kashmir is conquering new heights and progressing on the path of development.
