Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram NDA candidate and Union Minister, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, stated that the Congress party and the Left parties in the INDI Alliance are competing against each other to secure votes from minority communities. Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized that Lok Sabha elections should not be solely assessed based on minority vote banks, but rather by the development that has taken place in the country over the last five years. Followed by, regarding the aspect of development, Rajeev Chandrasekhar assured that he will make every effort to bring AIIMS to Thiruvananthapuram once elected as the MP.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that instead of campaigning about the country’s developments, campaigning against the CAA is not fair. According to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, election campaigns should revolve around ideas and developmental works, and should refrain from spreading false information to mislead the public.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar referred to allegations made by Congress leaders in Kerala regarding a business relationship between himself and LDF Convener EP Jayarajan, asserting that divisive tactics will not be tolerated. He emphasized his commitment to meeting people from all walks of life during his campaign and addressing any false allegations that arise.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar blamed Congress candidate and sitting MP Shashi Tharoor for the lack of development in the constituency.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar added that if Shashi Tharoor wants credit for highway development, he doesn’t mind. Then, humorously, Rajeev Chandrasekhar remarked that even if Shashi Tharoor wants credit for the country’s Chandrayaan Mission project, he can take it, but the reality is known to all.
Furthermore, Rajeev Chandrasekhar assured that he will make all effort to bring AIIMS to Thiruvananthapuram once elected as the MP. He expressed confidence in solving the city’s issues with the support of the Narendra Modi government and outlined his plans for Thiruvananthapuram’s development, emphasizing collaboration with the people.
