New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has introduced a new syllabus for Classes 3 to 6 of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The revised academic structure will come into effect in the upcoming academic session 2024-25. The updated syllabus aligns with the recommendations of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE). NCERT has communicated the details of the revised curriculum to CBSE, Kendriya Vidyalayas, and Navodaya Vidyalayas.
The letter also specifies that school timetables should be adjusted accordingly. Officials have indicated that revised books for the new academic year will be delivered to schools soon. The changes primarily focus on subjects such as Arts, Physical Education, Welfare, Skill Education, Language, Mathematics, Science, Environmental Education, and Social Science. NCERT has emphasized that the goal is to promote comprehensive learning.
