Alappuzha: Alappuzha NDA candidate Sobha Surendran’s election campaign program received a grand welcome from voters from various parts of the constituency. During her campaign, Shobha Surendran has assured to implement initiatives aimed at protecting the interests of black sand and coir workers in Alappuzha.

Sobha Surendran pointed out the corruptions of the Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan, KC Venugopal, who is contesting the Lok Sabha election from the Alappuzha constituency. Sobha Surendran alleged that KC Venugopal looted crores of rupees from minerals scam in Kerala with the help of Congress leader and former Minister of Mines Shish Ram Ola.

Sobha Surendran also said that KC Venugopal is still earning thousands of crores in benami accounts along with Shish Ram Ola’s family. Sobha Surendran assured that she will take all the initiatives to protect black sand and coir workers in Alappuzha.

Yesterday, Sobha Surendran participated in a roadshow organized in the Haripad State Assembly constituency. More than 1,500 members also participated in the roadshow. During the programme, she questioned what developments the current CPI(M) MP AM Ariff has brought to the constituency. The roadshow was led by Alappuzha BJP district President MV Gopakumar and Karthikapalli constituency President M Mahesh Kumar.

Dr. KS Radhakrishnan, who was the NDA candidate last time, made significant gains in vote percentage, receiving around 18% of the vote share for NDA. Alappuzha constituency witnessed a substantial increase in NDA vote share in the last two parliamentary elections. Data shows that compared to the election results of 2014, 2019 witnessed eight times as many votes. The NDA is making significant gains in the Alappuzha Parliament constituency.
