Thiruvananthapuram: NDA candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s election campaign served as a testament to his commitment as he actively participated in the diverse cultural celebrations of Thiruvananthapuram.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar happily joined the Holi celebrations organised by the Rajasthan Association and enjoyed the colourful festive atmosphere with elders and children alike.

The organizers welcomed the candidate who joined the Rajasthan Association’s Holi celebration at Priyadarshini Hall, Fort, Thiruvananthapuram, by showering colours. Prabudhan, president of the association, put color on Rajeev Chandrasekhar and bestowed him with a traditional turban. In return, Rajeev Chandrasekhar gave sweets to the children who had gathered there. The celebration of the natives of Rajasthan who were drenched in colors multiplied as Rajeev Chandrasekhar joyfully applied colors to each person’s face.

Before the Holi celebrations, Rajeev Chandrasekhar attended the Pongala festival of the Telugu community held at Sri Kamakshi Ekambareswar Temple on Telugu Chetty Street in Karamana.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar was welcomed by around 500 Telugu community members accompanied by musical beats, as he arrived at the Pongala festival of the Trikalyana Koda Mahotsavam at the Sri Kamakshi Ekambareswar Temple, organised by Telugu community. It turned into another jubilant celebration as the crowd, including children and women, gathered around the candidate and shared their joy by taking selfies and cheerful banter.

RC’s twitter post portrays his happy mood…

He says, “As a proud Malayalee, what more could brighten my day than embracing the diverse cultural heritage of Thiruvananthapuram!”

Began the day by attending #PalmSunday at Lourdes Church, PMG junction, followed by participating in the #Pongala festival at Sree Kamakshi Ekambareswar Temple.

Wrapped up the day by joining the #Holi celebrations with the Rajasthan Association, Karamana.
