ABVP alleges state government of protecting the accused in Siddharth’s case and destroying the evidence

Thiruvananthapuram: EU Eswaraprasad, the State Secretary of ABVP, said that the government is protecting the accused and destroying the evidence in the case of Siddharth’s murder. He said that despite the Chief Minister’s order for a CBI investigation, there has been no progress in initiating necessary procedures even after two weeks. According to Eswaraprasad, the Chief Minister ordered a CBI probe only for fear of protests.

Eswaraprasad said that the police and other authorities are working to destroy evidence to protect the SFI in this case while deliberately delaying the proceedings. In a similar incident, at Parumala Pampa College where three ABVP activists were killed by SFI members, the accused escaped because the police destroyed evidence and sabotaged the investigation. He said that police routinely do this in cases involving left-wing activists. He accused the government of deliberately stalling the CBI investigation into Siddharth’s case to buy time.

ABVP State Secretary EU Eswaraprasad warned that if the procedures for the CBI investigation are not done, the Chief Minister will have to face huge protests by the ABVP.
