Pathanamthitta: During the CPI(M) Pathanamthitta district Secretariat meeting, party leaders clashed, blaming each other for the ineffective election campaign in the area. The clash occurred during last night’s meeting.
One member criticized flaws in the election campaign for LDF candidate Thomas Isaac, which escalated when another person opposed that opinion.
Other members intervened to calm the situation, but the commotion continued for a while. However, the CPI(M) party leadership has yet to respond to the incident.
Pathanamthitta is poised for a strong triangular contest, with Anil Antony as the NDA candidate, Anto Antony representing the UDF, and Thomas Isaac representing for the LDF in the Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha constituency.
