Wayanad: The 33 students who were suspended and later reinstated after the death of Siddharth, a second-year BVSc student at Pookode Veterinary College, Wayanad have been suspended again. The Dean also released an order regarding this.
The VC had issued an order acquitting the suspended students, but it was later withdrawn, leading to the students being suspended again. The suspension is for seven working days. Previously, the High Court had stayed the suspension of two students who were suspended for ragging.
Siddharth’s father lodged a complaint with the Governor, citing the reinstatement of 33 suspended students. He also alleged political interference in the reinstatement process. Siddharth’s father, Jayaprakash, also shared concerns about the CBI investigation with the Governor. Consequently, the Governor has instructed to cancel the VC’s order, which lifted the suspension.
