Kozhikode: DYFI and CPI(M) activists attacked the vehicle of CR Praphul Krishnan, the NDA Vadakara Lok Sabha constituency candidate. The attack took place yesterday evening after 5:30 pm in Kothode, Nadapuram. A group from DYFI assaulted Praphul Krishnan’s car and attempted to break the flag post on the vehicle. Reports indicate that a large group of around a hundred DYFI activists participated in the attack. The incident sparked tension in the region.
This incident took place amidst several complaints that CPI(M) activists are targeting political opponents in the area through violent activities.
In response to the attack, Praphul Krishnan remarked that the CPI(M) cannot campaign by discussing the developments of the CPI(M) government. He highlighted significant public discontent against the Kerala government. Therefore, the CPI(M) is intentionally attacking to divert public attention.
Praphul Krishnan criticized CPI(M), stating that they have downgraded to such a low level of politics by attacking the vehicle of their opposing candidate.
