New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that strong action would be taken against those who stole investors’ money in Karuvannur, regardless of how high-profile they may be. He emphasized that the money seized by the ED would be returned to the investors, and its legality would be examined. The Prime Minister made these remarks while interacting with the booth-level workers of the BJP in connection with the Lok Sabha elections in the state.

The Prime Minister stated that it was understood that among those who looted the bank were the top leaders of the Left, and they were the ones who stole the money of common people. He mentioned that action would be taken against them when the new government came to power.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also mentioned the 2020 Gold Smuggling case. He noted that the issue of gold smuggling had reached the CM’s doorstep and emphasized that the people of Kerala should realize this.

The Prime Minister assured Alathur Constituency NDA candidate Dr. TN Sarasu that strong action would be taken against corruption in the cooperative sector in Kerala. The Prime Minister gave this assurance after the candidate mentioned that large-scale frauds were taking place in cooperative banks led by CPI(M) leaders and that the fraud in Karuvannur was of this type.
