Kollam: Kollam NDA candidate Krishna Kumar visited the coastal areas of Kollam which were affected by severe sea rage. After discussing their issues with them, Krishna Kumar assured the coastal people of ensuring sustainable solutions.
Krishna Kumar stated that he would bring the coastal people’s issues to the attention of the Central government. He emphasized that he would prioritize arranging a video call appointment to directly convey the coastal people’s issues to the Union Minister.
Krishna Kumar further mentioned that the coastal people need sustainable solutions. Therefore, the Central government will arrange for a detailed study in the region by expert members and implement sustainable solutions. He mentioned that the expert committee would draft solutions ensuring security for the region for at least 50 years.
With nine coastal states in the country, each having different issues, Krishna Kumar stressed the importance of local coastal issues being brought to the Central government’s attention by the respective MPs.
During discussions with local residents, Krishna Kumar came to know that despite making several requests to their MLA and MP regarding their issues, no action has been taken.
During his discussion with the coastal communities, he assured them that he would arrange their representative from the coastal community to directly convey their issues to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
