Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K. Surendran highlighted the focus on development progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a cornerstone of the ongoing election campaign in Kerala. Speaking in an interview with Indo-Asian News Service, K. Surendran emphasized that efforts are being made to make the people aware of the schemes being implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
K. Surendran said that development, agriculture, infrastructure, health, education, women’s empowerment and progression by preserving traditional and faith are mainly focused on in the election campaign. More investments and industries will be brought to the state by creating employment opportunities for youth. Farmers will be given assistance to modernize agriculture with the help of modern systems.
Addressing infrastructure concerns, K. Surendran outlined plans for the development of roads, ports, and airports. He further promised the establishment of new hospitals with enhanced facilities, along with improvements in the condition of existing hospitals, to ensure better healthcare services for the people.
K. Surendran added that education in rural areas is another priority, with plans to elevate its quality. K. Surendran underscored that the BJP is a party that gives great importance to women’s empowerment. Efforts will be made to create more opportunities for women in various fields. Furthermore, he added that marginalised community still exists in Wayanad even today. It is also important to bring them to the forefront.
K. Surendran said that measures will be taken to ensure the safety of the people of Wayanad while protecting wildlife. He said that changes will be made in the ecosystem in a way that does not harm nature.
K. Surendran also said that necessary steps will be taken to prevent wild animal nuisances in Wayanad. He stated that, as the state president of the BJP in Kerala, he is committed to solving this problem and finding a solution by protecting both humans and animals. While protecting wildlife, he will prepare a concrete plan and carry out activities to create awareness among the people of the area. By protecting the natural habitats of the animals, measures including preventing the species from entering the forest will be expedited.
K. Surendran mentioned that he will work for timely interventions by the central government to prevent such wildlife attack incidents from happening in the future. He stated that he will also work closely with local authorities and experts to find a permanent solution to such problems. According to K. Surendran, the goal is to make Wayanad a safe place for both humans and animals to live.
