Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cautionary notice regarding a surge in temperature across 12 districts in Kerala. It is predicted that the temperature levels may rise by two to three degrees Celsius from the current level until April 5 .
A yellow alert has been issued for all 12 districts, except Idukki and Wayanad. Kollam and Palakkad districts are anticipated to experience a temperature hike of up to 39 degrees Celsius from today until April 5.
Meanwhile, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Kannur may experience a temperature hike of up to 37 degrees Celsius. Additionally, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Malappuram, and Kasaragod districts are likely to experience temperature reaching 36 degrees Celsius. High temperature and humid air can create uncomfortable weather conditions and it is likely to occur in areas other than hilly regions.
